Two hours were enough for Penelope

Or rather two hours was all Woody Allen gave Penelope Cruz to go through the script for his film Vicky Cristina Barcelona and let him know if she was interested in playing the part of an unstable artist! Though Penelope was rather miffed that she had to go through the script, return it and also giveher decision in just two hours, her fascination for Woody’s works convinced her that haste would not make waste this time around! And today, she’s not only completed the movie, she has also been nominated for an Oscar for the role! She says, "He sent me a script and told me I had to return it in two hours and say whether I wanted to do the film or not by the end of the day. I read it, loved it, sent it back and said that I wanted to do it. I have loved his work since I was a little girl and always dreamt of working with him."
