Eric Bana fluent in alien language!
We’ve heard of actors learning foreign languages to perform their onscreen roles, but an alien tongue?! Actors Eric Bana and Clifton Collins Jr. had to learn an alien language for their roles in the new Star Trek movie.
In his attempt at making the movie’s aliens sound as authentic as they look, moviemaker J.J. Abrams created an outer-space language and urged his stars to take lessons. Eric and Clifton play Romulans in the latest offering of the sci-fi franchise. "They had a linguist come in and invent Romulan," said Clifton. On the Romulan look, he said, "We're space pirates; think of Johnny Depp as a Romulan!"
