Carla Bruni pregnant?

"I'm not pregnant and I regret it because I love it when I am. Will it happen? It's difficult for me to say. It's much more difficult at 40 than it is at 25," Carla Bruni had said in an interview shortly after her controversial marriage to the French President last year, when rumours were rife that the couple had married because they were expecting a child. In several interviews, Carla has often expressed this same desire to have a child with President Nicolas Sarkozy, and now a set of photographs taken while the two were holidaying in Paris has sparked the pregnancy rumours again.

The photographs show Sarkozy gently tapping the slightly bulging belly of his wife. The couple is yet to comment on the speculation, but a good pal to Carla said, “She would be only too happy if she was pregnant. And I’m sure she’d want to share the joyous news with the world! So let’s see!”

Sarkozy has three sons from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli, whom he divorced in 1996 and a 12-year-old son, Louis, from his second marriage to Cécilia Ciganer-Albéniz, whom he divorced in 2007.Carla has an eight-year-old son, Aurelian, from her relationship with Raphael Enthoven, a philosophy professor.
