For those who are very fond of the comic and the cartoon versions of The Amazing Spider-Man, this new theatrical version is a treat to watch. Though this Mark Webb directed flick is not as exciting as any of the previous Spider-man movies (in terms of action sequences), it focuses a lot on the story, which was originally written way back in 1962. Though this misses out on some exciting characters like Jonah Jameson and Mary Jane, the miss has been well compensated by the strong presence of Dr. Curtis Conners / The Lizard. This movie has just retained the originality which was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, 5 decades ago.
