Vijay 61 is truly getting bigger and bigger. The film is reuniting Vijay with director Atlee after the superhit Theri. Made on a whopping budget of Rs 100 Cr, the team has already finalised Vijay's Thupakki co-star Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady. Now, the latest to join the team is oscar-winner AR Rahman. The film also has a stupendous starcast which includes SJ Suryah, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu and Sathyan. GK Vishnu is the cinematographer, editing by Rubens, art by Muthuraj and stunt Anal Arasu.
Producer Sri Thenandal Films has officially announced the news and interestingly, this is their landmark 100th film. Baahubali writer Vijendra Prasad has already completed the script for the film. Rumour has it that a novel and whacky role has been sketched by Vijendra. The ace writer’s compelling story and super talented actor’s dynamic performance is going to be a sure shot winner at the box office!
