Popular actress Hema Malini is doing a mythological role for an upcoming Telugu film. The first look of her role has been unveiled on the occasion of her birthday. The Dream Girl will be seen as Gautami Balasri – mother of Gautamiputra Satakarni. A source close to the unit has divulged more detalils about the film.

 

“Gauthami Balasri is a very key person in the life of the ruler not just because she’s his mother but also because she wrote the inscription Nasik Prasasti, a eulogy about him, after he died following a rule of around 25 years. The Prasasti chronicles the military achievements of Satakarni and is one of the very few historical evidences available along with the Puranic royal genealogies and Satavahana inscriptions,” says the source.

 

Incidentally Hema Malini made her acting debut with a Telugu film titled Panadava Vanavasam starring legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.
