Veteran comedian and character artiste Thideer Kannaiah, who has acted in over 500 movies, made his debut through the K. Balachander movie Aval Oru Thodarkadhai. The 76-year-old veteran succumbed to the respiratory problems he had been suffering from for the past 2 weeks. After having severe respiratory problems, he was admitted in a private hospital where he was receiving treatment for the same. The deceased actor is survived by his wife Rajeshwari, son Ramesh and daughter Chitra. His body is currently kept at his Ayanavaram house in Chennai, for people to pay homage. The cremation is expected to happen tomorrow.
