The 18th International Children's Film Festival of India was launched with great pomp and grandeur on Thursday. Spectacular performances enthralled the audience. A small jig by Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor excited the children very much. But what surprised everyone is the absence of Tollywood actors.

The only representative from the industry was Rana Daggubati. The actor came and actively participated with the kids. This Film Festival also known as the Golden Elephant, has received almost 894 entries for screening of films, of which the best 200 films sourced from more than 45 countries will be showcased. The Children's Film Society India (CFSI), an autonomous body under the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Andhra Pradesh State Government have organized this festival.
