'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo is currently being filmed at a steady pace in Chennai and is nearing the finish line under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction. Touted to be an action thriller, the film's title was announced on February 3 in a thunderous promo that gave audiences a glimpse of Vijay for the first time, which also included the actor speaking the iconic 'Bloody Sweet' dialogue to the power-packed song of the same name composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander. In that light, filmmakers Rathna Kumar (Meyaadha Maan, Aadai, and Gulu Gulu) and Deeraj Vaidy (Jil Jung Juk), who are the dialogue writers of Leo, have now revealed that they first announced the title of the film on October 15, 2022, when they were on a vacation in Munnar, Kerala.

In an old throwback video posted by Rathna Kumar on Instagram on Wednesday, June 21, we see him and Deeraj Vaidy together yelling out Leo as the title of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming film along with the caption: "Oct 15, 2022. We Screamed our Lungs out at echo point before the Title was revealed officially. Leeeeoooooo #LEO #Fanboy #Thalapathy💥❤️(sic)". This is the first time fans are getting to know that Leo was fixed as the title of Vijay's 67th film much before the formal pooja ceremony held last December.
Lokesh Kanagaraj, who previously collaborated with Rathna Kumar on the dialogues for Master (2021) and Vikram (2022), has often spoken in high regard about his fellow filmmaker, and fans are particularly to waiting see what the duo along with Deeraj Vaidy have in store in Leo. Announced to be coming out in cinemas on October 19, the Vijay-starrer has Trisha sharing screen space with the Tamil superstar once again after 15 years and is incidentally also her 67th film. Likewise, Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy master, Mathew Thomas among others will be seen in important roles in Leo, which is the second time Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Anirudh are working together after Master, which went on to become a phenomenal box office success.
