Sony unveils latest PMW-F3 camera

Sony Electronics Asia Pacific unveiled the PMW-F3, the first professional handheld digital production camera with a Super 35mm imager. Critically acclaimed cinematographer Santosh Sivan, Anjuli Shukla and Alphonse Roy provided a preview of the short film that they have created using the PMW-F3, which will be available in India in February 2011.

"I am thoroughly impressed with the ability of PMW-F3 to bring out such stunning visuals. Film makers often face challenges such as portability of bulky filming equipment around challenging terrain and environments in and around the cities, which restricted the kind of shooting that could happen. The flexibility and portability of this camera made shooting a breeze and overall my experience with this camera has been excellent," cinematographer Santosh Sivan said.
