Shwetha Prasad: New rising star

A National award winning child artiste becoming a much-sought heroine in films is a natural phenomenon in filmdom! Examples are plenty. Hence, it is no wonder that Shweta Basu Prasad, a demure young schoolgirl in Makdee (2002), has morphed into one of the most happening heroines today.

After giving a very evocative performance in her debut as a heroine in blockbuster Kotha Bangaru Lokam (2008), charming Shweta Prasad has become a much sought-after actress in the South. She is currently busy with three Telugu films: Ramesh Varma's multistarrer Ride, G. Nageswar Reddy's Kasco and Balaji N. Sai's untitled film.

Produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions, Ride has completed its entire shooting and is expected to grace theatres soon. Veteran actor Balakrishna recently released the audio in an impressive function in Hyderabad.

Kasco, produced by A. Bharathi under the banner of K Films, is an action-packed romantic entertainer, revolving around a young man who tackles a rowdy and hence faces a lot of problems. The film has already completed its entire shooting and is getting ready for release in June-July.
