Sensuous Sharmila

Sharmila Mandre faced critics ireforher plump appearancein the recent Shivamani. But she is making a stunning comeback through a sensuous song in her upcoming Venkata in Sankata.Sharmila comes in awet sari sequence yet vows that the song will not term her as sexy. She says that the song is picturised so esthetically that no one will ever think of it as sexy or vulgar.

Watching a rain song sequence in movieis really fun, but shooting for it is not so fun, says Sharmila. She gottotally drenched while shooting and things got worse since she is allergic to rain. But director Ramesh Aravind was very understanding and gave her time to dry off between shots. Ramesh too is full of praise for Sharmila for co-operating wonderfully, especially in therain sequences, which he says can be uncomfortable foractresses.

Sharmila debuted in Kannada with Sajni and has acted inE Bandhana, Krishna, Navagraha and Shivamani.
