Vijay Antony's Pichaikkaran 2 is continuing its strong outing in theatres and so is the Telugu version, Bichagadu 2, which has turned out to be a big success. With the film en route to becoming a blockbuster in Telugu, the team celebrated their victory by taking the homeless and the underprivileged in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, to a quality restaurant and feeding them a sumptuous meal. Vijay Antony shared a heart-warming video on Twitter in which he is seen serving food to poor people, while also clicking selfies with them, with his latest gesture earning him big praise among fans on social media.

Having made his directorial debut with Pichaikkaran 2, Vijay Antony has often spoken about the importance of humanism and how people should come forward to help others as much as possible. He had endured several obstacles for his latest venture after he suffered severe injuries because of a jet ski accident in Malaysia during the film's shooting and a case being filed in the court by a producer alleging that the film violated the copyright over the storyline. With Vijay Antony making a speedy recovery and the court subsequently giving the nod for the film's release after dismissing the claims of violation of copyright over the storyline, the success of Pichaikkaran 2 and its Telugu version Bichagadu 2 will no doubt taste sweet.

Both Pichaikkaran 2 and Bichagadu 2 started off on a winning note, with the Tamil version collecting 3.25 crores on day 1, while the film in Telugu raked in 4.5 crores making it the biggest opening in Vijay Antony's nearly two-decade career. With the film now out in Tamil and Telugu, the composer-turned-actor will hope to keep up the momentum and be hopeful for similar results when the Kannada and Malayalam versions, Bhikshuka 2 and Bhikshakkaran 2, get released next.
