Nikitha is back

South Indian actress Nikitha, who debuted in movies with veteran director Fazil's average Malayalam film Kaiyethum Doorathu in 2002, has appeared in only three Malayalam films so far, the other two being Bus Conductor (2004) and Bhargava Charitham Moonam Khandam (2005).

Kaiyethum Doorathu bombed at the box office, while Bus Conductor and Bhargava Charitham Moonam Khandam could not establish a foothold in Mollywood. She later entered into other filmdoms and managednearly 22 films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. (She is known for her item number 'Kodana Kodi' in the recent Tamil film Saroja (2008), receiving widespread fame and popularity.)

Now, after a gap of more than three years, Nikitha is making a grand comeback in Malayalam in director Viswanathan's upcoming Malayalam film Dr. Patient (also spelt as Doctor Patient), starring Jayasuriya. Produced by Nandigram Ram Prasad under the banner of A.R. International, Dr. Patient revolves around a mental sanitarium where Dr. Ruben Issac (Jayasuriya) is a psychiatrist.

This is the first time in his career that Jayasuriya, known for his light-hearted comic roles, dons the role of a psychiatrist. Mukesh plays another psychiatrist in this fun-filled entertainer. Others in the cast include Jagathy Sreekumar, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu and Nedumudi Venu. The script is also handled by the director.

M.J. Radhakrishnan is the cinematographer and music is by Bennett Veetrag. Dr. Patient is the second venture of director Viswanathan, whose debut film was Out Of Syllabus. The film is expected to his theatres soon.
