After playing principle female character Sita from the epic Ramayana in Balakrishna's much acclaimed Sri Rama Rajyam, Nayantara is apparently set to play a character from another epic Mahabharata: Draupadi!
Reports said that it happens in Balakrishna's dream project, a remake of NTR's Narthanasala! Notably, the remake was shelved following the accidental death of actress Soundarya and the makers could not find a worthy replacement for the role then.
But, sources close to Balakrishna said that the actor was very impressed with Nayantara's performance in Sri Rama Rajyam and decides to revive the shelved project with her in the lead. Yalamanchali Sai Baba, who produced Sri Rama Rajyam, will produce the film.
