Leading South Indian actress Anushka Shetty is set to make her big-screen comeback after nearly four years with Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty. The film directed by Mahesh Babu P under producers Vamsi-Pramod's UV Creations banner sees the Baahubali star opposite Naveen Polishetty, best known for Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya and Jathi Ratnalu, and is billed to be a fun-filled romantic comedy releasing worldwide on September 7. Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty has been carrying quite a lot of buzz of late and the film's much-awaited trailer has now been released giving us a new and extended glimpse of Anushka Shetty as a chef and Naveen Polishetty, who is playing the role of a stand-up comedian.
The Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty trailer starts off with Anushka Shetty looking for a man as a prospective candidate to father a child without the need to get married. We then see visuals of Naveen Polishetty doing his stand-up routine, who climbs up the ladder in the industry for speaking his heart out with his jokes that audiences relate to easily. We also witness how Naveen has to constantly try and convince his father played by Murali Sharma that he is indeed pursuing a worthy profession, with Anushka showing him praise for his earnest attempt with his talents. The Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty trailer then shifts to Naveen developing feelings for Anushka but is in for a big shock when he is asked if he can father a child for her.
The visuals in Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty trailer hints at a fun-filled rom-com in the offing along with some sentiment and emotional aspects, which could hit the right note with the audiences. Fans will be looking forward to witnessing Anushka once again after she was last seen in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Nishabdham/Silence (2020) on Amazon Prime Video, and the film's trailer does a solid job at packaging everything to kindle plenty of interest. It is to be noted that the popular South Indian actress, who is known among Tamil cinema fans for starring in the Singam franchise, Vaanam, Deiva Thirumagal, Lingaa, and Yennai Arindhaal, to name a notable few, was last seen on the big screen in a cameo as the freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai in the Telugu epic historical fiction film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019).
