Kalasala on April 24

Teenage sensation Tamannaah's much-acclaimed Tamilflick Kalluri (2007), directed by Balaji Shakthivel with Akhil in the lead, is being dubbed in Telugu as Kalasala by M.V. Gopal Rao under the banner of Jyothi Arts. Kalasala, which had its audio launch in March by Aditya Music at Ramoji Film City, will hittheatres across A.P. on April 24.

Joshua Sridhar has scored the music for the Telugu version and Sri Ramakrishna has penned the dialogues. Bhuvanachandra, Siva Ganesh, Sahithi and Vanamali have penned the lyrics.

Kalasala revolves around a group of friends, led by Muthu (Akhil), who are admitted in a Government Arts College which is beyond their wildest dreams because mostare from poor backgrounds. Allstudy the same class, where they meet a new girl Shobhana (Tamannaah), whois strikingly different from the others.Fair and beautiful, she looks sad and aloof. The group sympathizes for her and brings her into its fold. Shobhana soon becomes part of the gang.

Meanwhile, Shobhanais attracted by Muthu, an athlete who wants to excel in sports and get a good job through sports quota to give his poor family a new lease of life. She helps him achieve his goal. Slowly, love develops between them, but they choose to put it on the backseat for the sake of the larger friendship they share with the group. They don't even share their feelings. While the story moves on, they are compelled bycircumstances to come out with their feelings. What happens next is the climax.
