Genelia's signature step
Popular South Indian actress Genelia surprised everyone on the sets of her ongoing Bollywood film Life Partner (directed by Rumi Jaffrey with Govinda in the lead) when she requested her choreographer to include the signature step of the song 'Pappu can't dance' from Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in the song 'Teri meri ye zindagi'.
"Everyone constantly keeps telling Genelia how popular the song had become and that she grooved so well in the song. So while shooting for this song, Genelia requested choreographer duo Bosco-Caeser if they could include the step. They were taken aback, but understood that it was a sentimental thing and let Fardeen Khan and her use the step," a source close to the film was quoted as saying.
Talking about the song situation, director Rumi Jaffery said: " 'Teri meri ye zindagi' is the romantic song picturised on Genelia and Fardeen Khan, a newly-married couple on their honeymoon." Life Partner, also starring Prachi Desai and Tushar Kapoor, is scheduled for release on August 14.
