Veteran actor Balakrishna was in Chennai for the poster release of his direct Tamil film Varuvan Thalaivan, directed by debutant Sekarraja and produced by Lakshmi Manchu in both Tamil and Telugu. Manchu Manoj plays an important role.

"I was born and brought up in Chennai and I love to do a direct Tamil film now. Manoj is a bundle of talent and he is sure to go places. Lakshmi Manchu is making her foray in Tamil with a big-budgeted venture and we are happy and elated," Balakrishna said during the event.

STR, P. Vasu, Manobala and Banu Chander among others attended the event and spoke. The film is almost complete. The audio would be released in June and the film in July.
