Kollywood star Arya has been signed to play the lead in the new Malayalam movie Son of Alexander, which is said to be the sequel of the Mammootty starrer Samrajyam (1990). Arya will play the son of Alexander in this project, which will be directed by veteran Tamil director Perarasu. Expected to be a bilingual, this film will feature Prakash Raj, Arjun, Biju Menon, Manoj K Jayan and Suraj, in important roles. Ilayaraja will compose music for the film, which is likely to be the costliest film in Malayalam, till date!
