Farhana is an exciting new film starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead role. This is the fifth release for the actress this year and is directed by Monster and Oru Naal Koothu fame Nelson Venkatesan. As the film is set to release in theatres on 12th May, the makers have released an exciting new glimpse video. Production house bankrolling the film Dream Warrior Pictures and released a making video showing how the scenes that was made in the Chennai metro rain was shot. The video begins with an explanation from the director on why he used the metro. He said "according to the film, the women is traveling from a small place to an entirely new world and to show that transit we had to use the metro". The director stated that it was difficult to shoot on the train because of its speed. The cinematographer Gokul Benoy then explained that it was difficult to move the camera and other equipments as the trolley was not allowed inside the train. The editor said he was surprised by the way some scenes were shot. Nelson Venkatesan then explained that it was a bit easy because the actors and actresses knew the mood of the film. "It was an advantage and they performed well. It was challenging to complete it within a specified period with the entire crew." said the director

The video is sure to create excitement for Farhana. Aishwarya Rajesh plays the role of a Muslim woman who takes up job in a shady call centre to provide good education for her kids in the film. The trailer shows that it will be a social drama that also features director Selvaraghavan, Jithan Ramesh, Actress Anumol K Manoharan of Ayali fame and Bigg Boss fame Aishwarya Dutta and others in prominent roles.. The film also has music composed by Justin Prabhakaran.
