Thangar Bachan is a critically acclaimed movie director who has made movies like Azhagi, Pallikoodam, etc. His recent film that's set to release is Karumegangal Kalaigindran that features Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yogi Babu, Mamta Mohandas, Aditi Balan and others in prominent roles. The audio launch event of the film happened as a grand affair with many leading members of the film industry being a part of the event. Lokesh Kanagaraj, the sensational and sought-after director was also a part of the event. He is currently working on Leo, starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay playing the lead. The film has created huge anticipation following the success of Vikram.

Speaking at the audio launch event of Karumegangal Kalaiginrana, Lokesh Kanagaraj said “I know Thankar bachan sir for the last six months. I have seen his films and after that when I met him in person, it made me very happy. When he called and said he wanted to meet me, I said I will meet him in his office, but he (was humble) asked where my office was and came and met me. We spoke for about two hours and that is when I learned there is more stages to see and more things to achieve, That is why I am here. I came here directly from a shoot and now I have to go back to shooting. My wishes for big success for the film."

When asked about his favourite Thangar Bachan film. Lokesh Kanagraj said "I had already discussed this with him. from Onbadhu Roobai Nootu, I liked many of his films and I have also said to sir about that. But, I like Azhagi the most." The director Thangar Bachan gave a huge Jack fruit and some nuts as a gift to Lokesh Kanagaraj, When asked about the reason, The director said "I am a farmer that fruit is from my farm." He then spoke about Leo director saying "Now, Indian cinema is looking at Tamil cinema and Lokesh is one of the reasons for it and my wishes for more success for Lokesh."
