"I have to let go of your project...": A. R. Rahman reveals the reason for pulling out of Parthiban's next film after their Iravin Nizhal

A r rahman withdraws from parthiban new movie after their iravin nizhal due to a backlog in work - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Acclaimed Tamil actor-filmmaker Parthiban has revealed that Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman had to withdraw from his next film owing to a backlog in his work and added that the composer wished him the best for his endeavor. The celebrated music composer wrote to the Otha Seruppu Size 7 maker, "Good morning Sir ..due to a huge backlog of work ..personal and professional ..I have to let go of your project this time .. I was super tempted to listen to your story ..as you are one of the most passionate Filmmakers .. Wishing you the very best ..God bless! ARR (sic)". Parthiban, who was last seen as Chinna Pazhuvettarayar in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan films shared A. R. Rahman's note on Twitter and said, "Attachment is out of love Detachment is also out of love Therefore…. Let's praise each other and celebrate each other till the end! When we thought we both were going to team up once again and it didn't happen, this is the soft mail that came from my friend ARR."

The news of A. R. Rahman having to pull out of Parthiban's next film will no doubt come as a big disappointment to fans considering they worked together for the first time in Iravin Nizhal in 2022. The independent thriller received massive critical acclaim for its technical aspects while the Oscar-winning composer's songs and impressive and moving background earned him high praise. Although Parthiban hasn't revealed any details about the project he had planned with A. R. Rahman in his latest statement, it is to be noted that the three-time National Award-winning filmmaker-actor earlier this year on the festive occasion of Pongal announced a venture called 52am Pakkathil Oru Mayiliragu, followed by his second project of the year titled Aandal, while also revealing that he also has a third film in development. Parthiban and A. R. Rahman's Iravin Nizhal was announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to be one of the feature films from Tamil cinema to be eligible for the 95th Oscars held earlier this year along with R. Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and the documentary The Elephant Whisperers, which went on to win the Best Documentary Short Film award at the prestigious ceremony.
