The final of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to take place in a spectacular manner at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Sunday, May 29. Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be looking to come out all guns blazing for the big game at the 15th edition of the IPL, which will also include a grand performance by Academy Award-winning Tamil composer A. R. Rahman. The celebrated music director appeared in a video on social media and invited fans to join him at the IPL 2022 finals at Ahmedabad. 

In the video, A. R. Rahman said, "Hello everyone! As we celebrate 15 years of IPL, we're also celebrating India at 75. I'm looking forward to performing at the closing ceremony of the TATA IPL 2022. And, all of them have put together a very special tribute concert that takes us on a journey of eight decades of Indian cricket that has redefined India at 75 as we pay the largest salute. Watch me play at the magnificent arena at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, as well as live on Star Sports & Disney+Hotstar at 6.25 pm on 29th May." Apart from A. R. Earlier on Tuesday, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly had confirmed the news to Sportstar and informed that the cricketing body is putting on a special display celebrating 75 years of India's independence, including showcasing the journey of Indian cricket over the last seven decades. He said, "With Ahmedabad hosting the final, we will celebrate the 75th independence of the country, marking the journey of Indian cricket with a special show."
