Vaalu starring STR has become the talk of the town. As the film is gearing up for its release on Friday (August 14), the young star STR received a surprise call today. Any guesses who? The Superstar of Kollywood, Rajinikanth! Yup, he called STR to wish him all success for the release of his long awaited film Vaalu. With this generous gesture Rajinikanth has become the first celebrity in Kollywood to wish the young superstar for Vaalu.

Directed by newcomer Vijay Chander, the film features STR and Hansika in the lead roles. The music for the film is composed by Thaman. Multifaceted T Rajendar who is also the father of STR has bought the distribution rights of the film in Tamil Nadu. It may be noted that the film has battled numerous legal issues and is finally releasing after so many postponements over the last three years. Let's hope it's been worth the wait for STR and his fans.
