Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu which released last Friday ( August 8th) is running successfully in theatres. According to trade analysts, the film has grossed more than rupees 60 crores worldwide within just four days. After Rajamouli's epic film Baahubali, Srimanthudu is reported to be the second Telugu film to achieve the highest reach across the globe.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the film stars Shruti Haasan in the female lead while Rajendra Prasad, Jagapathi Babu, Poorna and Sukanya play pivotal roles. Produced by Mythri Movies and actor Mahesh Babu himself, the film was released in Tamil with the title Selvandhan. In Tamil Nadu, Srimanthudu was released in 60 screens while Selvandhan hit at least 105 screens across the state, winning the hearts of Tamil audiences as well.
