Sonu Nigam enters Mollywood

Renowned Hindi playback singer Sonu Nigam, whose songs have been featured in numerous Punjabi, Bengali, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi and Tamil movies, is now making his debut in Malayalam.

The singer has sung his very first Malayalam song 'Chakkaramavin Kombath' recently for megastar Mammootty's upcoming 1993 Bombay March 12, directed by script writer-turned-director Babu Janardhanan. The lyrics of the song were written by Rafeeq Ahmed and the music was scored by Afsal Yousuf.

Notably, famous Hindi playback singer Shreya Ghoshal also ventured into Malayalam and found success there also. Shreya is one of the busiest singers in Malayalam today.

An emotion-filled family drama with suspense which narrates the ill effects and sufferings faced by the nation after the Mumbai bomb blasts in 1993, the film is produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner of Red Rose Creations in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It will be released on July 24.
