Shakeela is one of the most popular names in the South Indian film industry and the actress recently acted in her 250th movie titled Seelavathi. Shakeela has been in the headlines lately after the actress revealed that she fell in love with popular producer Maniyanpilla Raju. Shakeela worked with the producer during Mohanlal's 2007 film, Chotta Mumbai.
According to reports, Shakeela was quoted saying,
"While shooting for the film, my mom fell ill and had to undergo an operation immediately. I approached Maniyanpilla Raju for help. Though I had to shoot for many portions in the film, the producer gave me the entire salary beforehand. I started liking him immensely and I fell in love with him. I wrote a love letter to him but he didn't respond to it."
The news created headlines and the Shakeela's confession has also reeled in Maniyanpilla Raju into the controversy. And now, the producer himself has come out with a strong statement denying the news about Shakeela's proposal.
Maniyanpulli Raju was quoted saying,
"Yes, I had given money when Shakeela's mother was admitted to a hospital. But I was not aware of the fact that she loved me. She used to come to the shooting spot in her own vehicle, and after completing the filming, she used to go in the same vehicle. To be very clear about this affair, I have not received any love letters or kind of romantic requests from the actress."
