An iconic filmmaker, K. Balachander, as known to all, passed away passed away on December 23, 2014. The legendary director was hailed by fans and film aficionados across the nation having directed over a 100 films in his his lifetime. Tragedy has struck once again the Balachander family as the cinema exemplar’s wife Mrs. Rajam Balachander passed away early today (26.11.2018) morning at around 04:30AM. She was 82. The funeral rites will be held today at around 15:00PM.
K. Balachander and Rajam entered wedlock in 1956 while he was working at the Accountant General's Office at Chennai and went on to have two sons named Kailasam and Prasanna and a daughter Pushpa Kandaswamy.
