Science-fiction has always intrigued film buffs over the world with many Hollywood movies leading the way for decades now. India too has produced a few notable films in the genre including the Tamil film industry with the most recent one being ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s 2.0.
Likewise, science-fiction films that have aliens as a plot element have also been made in Tamil starting with the MGR starrer, Kalai Arasi, in 1963, in which we see the ‘Makkal Thilagam’ chasing aliens to their planet after his lover is kidnapped so she can teach music and dance to their inhabitants.
In addition, Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film, SK 14, under Indru Netru Naalai director fame R. Ravikumar’s direction with A. R. Rahman’s music too will be revolving around aliens as a major plot point.
Now, the teaser for a new age alien movie titled Ellaam Mela Irukuravan Paathuppan, starring Aari, Shaashvi Bala, Mottai Raajendiran and Bagavathy Perumal in lead roles under U Kaviraj’s direction and produced by Rowther Films’ A Mohammed Abubucker, has officially been released and can be watched below:
