Yavaram Nalam in Telugu?
Multilingual actor Madhavan's recent bilingual horror thriller Yavaram Nalam (13 B in Hindi), directed by Vikram K. Kumar and produced by Sujatha Cine Arts,�will be remade in Telugu by noted producer Allari Ravi Babu,�who has reportedly bought the remake rights. It is not clear whether the Telugu version will be a remake or dubbed version.
Yavaram Nalam revolves around a family of eight members: Manohar (Madhavan), his mother (Saranya), his wife Priya (Neetu Chandra), his elder brother (Sanjay Bokaria), sister-in-law (Ameetha), his nephew, niece and younger sister. This happy close-knit family moves into a new apartment 13B on the thirteenth floor of a newly-constructed building. Like any family, the women in this household are TV soap fanatics and their latest obsession is a serial called 'Yavarum Nalam'.
Manohar, a civil engineer by profession, is very happy to have moved to this new house and lots of good things happen in the family; his brother gets promoted, his sister passes her college exams, his wife gets pregnant. However, Manohar is surrounded by some strange happenings and an unknown fear which changes his life. What is that fear constitutes the rest of the film.
Yavaram Nalam marked�the Tamil debut by leading Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra, who starred in Hindi films like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and Traffic Signal. Notably, veteran Hindi actor Dhritiman Chaterjee also made his Tamil cinema debut with his film. Dhritiman Chaterjee played the same role in the Hindi version.
