Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is making a film on smuggler Veerappan, has revealed that the sandalwood king was planning to kidnap Superstar Rajinikanth in the same way he plotted Kannada superstar Rajkumar. RGV has also revealed that the information was based on interviews with Veerappan's ex-gang members and mediators.
Directed by RGV, Veerappan is produced by Viiking Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd and will release on May 27
