Prabhas fans will have to wait a little longer to witness the Telugu superstar in action on the big screen as his next big film, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, has been pushed from its initial September 28 release plan. The upcoming film's team issued a statement on Wednesday, September 13, informing the delay while extending their gratitude to the fans for their support. Explaining the reason for the postponement, the team stated, "We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances. Please understand this decision is made with care, as we're committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards. The new release date will be revealed in due course. Stay with us as we make the final touches on #SalaarCeaseFire and thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. #SalaarComingSoon"

This latest statement about Salaar getting postponed has come two weeks before its theatrical release plans and fans will now have to wait for the team to complete the works on the film. The news of the Prabhas-starrer getting delayed first began doing the rounds a few days back, leading to several theatres in the U.S. refunding those who purchased the tickets, with many production houses subsequently stepping forward and claiming the September 28 date to release their ventures. With Salaar getting indefinitely postponed, Prabhas fans will be looking to hear from the team soon on the new release date.

Salaar has been carrying tremendous buzz right from the get-go as it has Prabhas teaming up with KGF director Prashanth Neel and there are huge expectations for massive explosive action on the big screen, which was hinted in an electrifying teaser released sometime back. The film has Prabhas sharing screen space with Shruti Haasan cast as the female lead, with Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran appearing as the antagonist, while Easwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Garuda Ram, among others, will be seen in pivotal roles and music composed by Ravi Basrur.
