Vishnu oozes confidence

Vishnu, the tragic hero of the super hit rural flick Vennila Kabadi Kulu, is full of confidence when he talks about his debut movie and his upcoming comedy flick. “I knew that Vennila Kabadi Kulu would do well even when the story was narrated to me. But I had not expected that it would be such a great success! All of us in the VKK team were praying for its success. And when we heard the movie was a big hit, we were overjoyed,” he smiles. Adding, “After VKK, I chose to do Bale Pandia for two reasons. Firstly, I wanted my second movie to be completely different from VKK. Secondly, I wanted a greater challenge. Comedy is always a challenge. I accepted the light-hearted comedyBale Pandiya for these two prime reasons. I must say this film has nothing to do with the classic from which the title is lifted.”

About his co-stars Piya and Gibran, he says, “Piya is just learning Tamil but her expressions are brilliant. She takes the extra effort to understand the meaning of every dialogue spoken which helps her emote correctly. As for Gibran, he plays one of the villains in the movie. We shot a fight sequence for four long days. On the fourth day, we were both exhausted and in pain because we had been shooting continuously for 18 hours! I remember Gibran requested me before a certain shot to go a little easy on him. I replied ‘Even I’m in pain. But we have to get this right.’ After all, hard work pays, na?” It sure does! All the best!
