Vijayalakshmi's new avatar!
From the girl-next-door in Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai 600028 to the new hot sexy avatar in her recent release Katrathu Kalavu, actress Vijayalakshmi has shown a true metamorphosis.
“Yes, most actresses are initially reluctant to don sexy roles. In my case, after a couple of films, I was a bit concerned about being stereotyped. That’s when I decided to switch to a new avatar,” the actress said to a leading English daily.
“I play Krishnaveni, an aspiring stewardess who comes to the city to pursue her dreams. But as her dreams fail to come true, she pairs up with a failed banker, played by Krishna and the duo becomes one of the most happening con pairs. Like Krishna, I too have five different looks in the film—that of a reporter, a Marwari girl and an affluent woman, to name a few. It was good fun trying out so many looks in a single film,” she added.
