Filmmaker S.A. Chandrasekhar has always backed and supported his son, Ilayathalapathy Vijay in all the ups and downs of his career. At the audio launch function of Mathil Mel Poonai, which has Vijay Vasanth as solo hero, SAC said that the latest craze in Kollywood is for realistic heroes. He also pointed out that earlier only a good-looking hunk was considered as a hero but today audience wants them to be just realistic.
"Even my son Vijay is also not so good-looking, he is realistic hero," he was quoted saying.
