Vijay donates cows to needy villagers

In a noble gesture, actor Vijay donated 108 cows to needy villagers in Udumalaipet, Tiruppur, where he is shooting for his upcoming movie Velayudham. Recipients of his charity include impoverished farmers, widows and other needy women. In the event organised to donate the cows, Vijay said that India being an agricultural nation, the donation of cows can create a significant impact on the livelihood of needy people. The actor added that a cow could easily feed a family compared to other monetary donations. On receiving the cows, the villagers praised Vijay's generosity in gifting cows which cost Rs. 25,000-30,000 each.
