'Superstar' Rajinikanth took a trip down memory lane and paid a visit to the prestigious AVM Heritage Museum on Thursday, June 8. The iconic Tamil cinema actor was joined by AVM Productions' M. Saravanan, veteran producer MS Guhan, the reputed studio's partner and creative director Aruna Guhan, and legendary filmmaker S. P. Muthuraman, with photos showing them having a hearty conversation during their time together. Rajinikanth in the pictures is seen along with the others looking at the collections in the AVM Heritage Museum, while also reminiscing and sharing his own experiences from the bygone years. 

Rajinikanth has had a long-standing association with AVM Productions having collaborated on memorable box office blockbusters like Murattu Kaalai (1980), Pokkiri Raja (1982), Paayum Puli (1983), Nallavanukku Nallavan (1984), Manithan (1987), Yajaman (1993), and Sivaji: The Boss (2007) to name a notable few during the course of his career.  Rajinikanth is the latest to visit the AVM Heritage Museum after it was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin nearly a month ago at a grand event, which also saw the likes of Kamal Haasan, Sivakumar, among others grace the occasion. 

On the work front, Rajinikanth will be seen next in the highly-anticipated Jailer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, which is produced by the illustrious Sun Pictures banner and will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander. Announced to open in cinemas worldwide on August 10, the mass action entertainer will see Tamil cinema's 'Superstar' sharing screen space with Kannada superstar Dr. Shivarajkumar, Malayalam icon Mohanlal, Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Pushpa fame Sunil, Yogi Babu, Taramani and Rocky actor Vasanth Ravi, Maryan antagonist Vinayakan, Mirna Menon, Jaffer Sadiq, Kishore, among others. Rajinikanth also has in his lineup Lal Salaam being directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and will feature the actor in an extended cameo as the character Moideen bhai. Produced by Lyca Productions, the exciting sports drama revolving around cricket stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as the lead stars and will have music being composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman. Rajinikanth was also announced sometime back by Lyca Productions to be headlining the tentatively titled Thalaivar 170 to be directed by Jai Bhim fame T. J. Gnanavel, which will once again see Anirudh Ravichander composing the songs and the background score.
