Thalapathy 68 heroine list 6 leading actresses who never appeared in a vijay film venkat prabhu yuvan shankar raja - Tamil Movie Cinema News

The announcement of Thalapathy 68 in May took Tamil Nadu by storm and continues to create a big debate on social media even though the film is still in the pre-production stages and will begin rolling once 'Thalapathy' Vijay wraps up Leo with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The upcoming film to be directed by blockbuster filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, who is best known for his hits like the Chennai 600028 films, Goa, Mankatha, and Maanaadu to name a notable few, will be joining hands with the Tamil superstar for the first and is a project that has been waiting to happen for a long time. The Vijay-Venkat Prabhu collaboration announced by AGS Entertainment is also the prestigious production banner's second film with the leading Tamil actor after their 2019 smash hit sports entertainer Bigil, and expectations are huge already ahead of its 2024 release. Likewise, Yuvan Shankar Raja is on board a Vijay venture for the second time after their Pudhiya Geethai (2003), and there are massive expectations already for the composer to deliver a cracker of an album with Thalapathy 68

With a huge discussion already surrounding Thalapathy 68 on social media, fans have been speculating on the rest of the cast to feature alongside Vijay. That being said, there have been several notable names doing the rounds to play the female lead in the film and that also includes a few popular actresses who have never before shared screen space with the leading Tamil actor. In that light, we have now put together a list of the leading actresses from across India, who we think might be good choices for the heroine role and it remains to be seen what plans Vijay, Venkat Prabhu, and AGS Entertainment have in store for Thalapathy 68 up ahead.

SAI PALLAVI

Having proven herself to be a powerhouse talent in South Indian cinema ever since she charmed her way into everybody's hearts in the Malayalam blockbuster, Premam, Sai Pallavi has shown that she can walk the talk on the big screen and match the pace on the dance floor and also embodies that striking balance between a performer and an entertainer if she were to appear alongside Vijay in Thalapathy 68

PRIYANKA ARUL MOHAN

The darling of Tamil audiences, Priyanka Mohan has featured alongside big stars like Sivakarthikeyan and Suriya in a short period of time and will be next featured in Dhanush's highly-anticipated Captain Miller. She is one star whose name often keeps popping up on social media as a popular choice and it remains to be seen whether she indeed will play 'bae' to 'Thalapathy' in Thalapathy 68

MRUNAL THAKUR

Mrunal Thakur became a nationwide sensation after she stole everybody's hearts with her portrayal of Sita Mahalakshmi / Princess Noor Jahan in 2022's blockbuster Sita Ramam. If she indeed does go on to land the coveted female lead role in the Vijay-starrer, it would undoubtedly turn out to be a dream debut since she is yet to appear in a Tamil film and Thalapathy 68 could well turn out to be that turnabout.

SAMYUKTHA

Having starred in a couple of Tamil films, Samyuktha's calling was in Dhanush's Vaathi earlier this year and has since become a youth sensation. Already a big star in Kerala, she has now risen to the top of the league in Telugu with her performance in the recently-released blockbuster, Virupaksha, and it will be interesting to see if the Malayalam beauty gets cast alongside Vijay in Thalapathy 68

RAASHII KHANNA

A star who consistently appears in several Tamil and Telugu films every year, Raashii Khanna has been landing roles in films in both languages in a steady manner and has garnered huge popularity in South India in recent years. Having been seen in notable roles in Thiruchitrambalam and Sardar in 2022, including impressing everyone with her performance in the hit Amazon Prime Video web series Farzi earlier this year, she is now one of the favorites for fans, who look forward to witnessing her sharing screen space with Vijay in Thalapathy 68

KIARA ADVANI

After making a splash in her Telugu debut in Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu in 2018, Kiara Advani's name simultaneously began doing the rounds to play the female lead in Vijay's Sarkar in the same year. Since then, she has remained a fan favorite to star alongside the Tamil superstar and whether she will finally make her Tamil cinema debut in Thalapathy 68 is a waiting game for now.
