Vettaikaran to be re-shot?

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's much-anticipated action movie Vettaikaran, being directed by debutant Babu Sivan (erstwhile associate of director Dharani) with Tollywood damsel Anushka as heroine, is likely to be re-shot after a team of professionals from the film's distributors Sun Pictures, watched the filmand expressed their views, reportedly insisting that director Babu Sivan needs to reshoot some scenes which theyfound less thansatisfactory, sources revealed.

Vettaikaran, produced by AVM Productions, recently completed its entire shooting with a song sequence in Pune and even got a 'U/A' certificatelast week. However, it is yet to be seen whether Vijay would agree to this suddendemand of reshooting as he is busy shooting for his 50th film Sura, being directed by S.P. Rajkumar and produced by Sangili Murugan.

After the disappointing run of his recent films Kuruvi and Villu, Vijay has pinned his hopes on Vettaikkaran, based on the story of an energetic young man and his angst against baddies in society. It has music by rock composer Vijay Antony. Cinematography is by Gopinath and editing is by V.T. Vijayan.
