Veteran Telugu producer and chairman of Asian Group, Narayan Das Narang passed away during the morning hours of Tuesday, April 19. According to reports, he was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad for the last few weeks due to age-related health issues. He was 76 when he breathed his last. Apart from being a producer, Narayan Das Narang has financed over 600 films in the last four decades. Reportedly, his funeral will take place at 4 PM in the evening at Mahaprasthanam and several leading personalities from the Telugu film industry are expected to pay their final respect.

Narayan Das is survived by his son, Sunil Narang, who is handling the production responsibilities. Narayan Das Narang is known for producing the Naga Chaitanya - Sai Pallavi starrer Love Story which turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. Prominent stars from the South Indian film industry have extended their heartfelt condolences on the demise of Narayan Das. Mahesh Babu, in his tweet, recalled the special moments that he spent with the producer and expressed his condolences.

Sharing a throwback picture, he tweeted, "Shocked and saddened by the demise of #NarayanDasNarang garu. A prolific figure in our film industry.. his absence will be deeply felt. A privilege to have known and worked with him. His vision and passion for cinema is an inspiration for many of us. Strength and condolences to his family and loved ones 🙏 🙏 🙏".

Similarly, Sivakarthikeyan also mourned the demise of producer Narayan Das through a tweet in which he wrote, "Deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of our beloved producer Shri #Narayandasnarang sir. My condolences to @asiansuniel sir and his family members, May his soul Rest In Peace 🙏". Narayan Das Narang is one of the producers of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film, SK 20 directed by KV Anudeep. Narayan Das is also the producer of Dhanush's upcoming untitled flick with director Sekhar Kammula.
