Veteran singer T.M. Soundararajan passed away at his residence today following a brief illness. Few days back he was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai due to respiratory difficulties. The 91-year-old singer, survived by his wife and two sons.

TMS, the man with a golden voice, was one of the most-famous personality in Tamil cinema. He has rendered over 5,000 songs in Tamil. Soundarajan last sung for AR Rahman in the theme song of the World Classical Tamil Conference in 2010.
