Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is getting ready for its grand theatrical release on September 15 and the fans have pinned high hopes on this mega biggie. The film will have a wide release on a record number of screens and the promotions are actively being executed by the makers. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will have a dubbed release in Telugu and that being said, the title of the Telugu version was officially announced this evening (September 9). The Telugu version is called The Life of Muthu and it will have a wide release across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through the banner of Sri Sravanthi Movies.

The banner has produced several hit films in Telugu and is one of the leading production and distribution firms in AP and Telangana. Interestingly, Muthu is the name of the character played by Silambarasan TR in the film and the makers have gone for an easily relatable title for the Telugu version. The Telugu version will also release on the same day, as the original version releases, September 15. Produced by Dr Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, the film has music composed by A.R.Rahman whose songs have turned widely popular among the fans and music lovers, finding a place in the music playlists.

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon who is getting back with STR and A.R.Rahman for the third time after the success of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. VTK features Siddhi Idnani as the female lead, marking her debut in Tamil cinema and she will be seen playing the role of Paavai. Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav, Appukutty, and others form the supporting cast. In Tamil Nadu, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will have a wide release across the state through the banner of Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
