Two years ago, Vijay Deverakonda, director-producer Puri Jagannadh and co-producer Charmme Kaur joined hands for Liger. Earlier this year, the trio announced their next film, JGM AKA Jana Gana Mana. After Liger received underwhelming reception that the box office, reports of JGM being shelved started to go viral across various social media platforms. Charmme Kaur took a break from her social media detox that she had mentioned she go on earlier in order to dismiss the rumours.

Producer Charmme Kaur addressed the rumours and responded to it on her official Twitter handle. She wrote, "Rumours rumours rumours! All rumours are fake! Just focusing on the progress of 𝐏𝐂 .. Meanwhile, RIP rumours !! ". Check it out: 

She did not specifically mention Jana Gana Mana, but it is thought that she was clearly hinting at it. Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur have taken a little hiatus from social media. She announced her decision to do so on Twitter earlier, saying, "Chill guys! Just taking a break ( from social media ) @PuriConnects will bounce back 😊 Bigger and Better... until then, Live and let Live ❤️ ". Check it out:

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger hit the screens on 25 August 2022. The movie blundered at the box office. On the other hand, the upcoming film Jana Gana Mana is a fictional movie with action scenes akin to those in the 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike and other movies of the same nature. 

The movie will feature Vijay Deverakonda as an army officer with Pooja Hegde cast as the female lead while Charmme Kaur, Vamshi Paidipally, and Puri Jagannadh will be bankrolling Jana Gana Mana. The action film will be made available to watch in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam as it is slated for a pan-Indian release.
