Vatican turns Dan away

A request for shooting a film based on Dan Brown's ‘Angels and Demons’ has been turned down by the Vatican. The book is said to be the prequel to the controversial ‘The Da Vinci Code’ by the same author.

It turns out that the Catholic Church is still outraged by the first book, which suggested that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were secretly wed. The spokesman confirmed that the request to shoot at various locations within Vatican City was denied without even looking at the script. "Usually, we read the script but in this case, it wasn't necessary. Just the name Dan Brown was enough," Father Marco Fibbi said in an interview. "'Angels and Demons' peddles a type of fantasy that damages our common religious beliefs, just like 'The Da Vinci Code' did," he added.
