Varnam, starring Sampath, Monica and Giridharan, is directed by debutant director S.M. Raju and has music by Isaac Thomas Kottukapally.

Director Ameer spoke about many offbeat small budget films becoming successful at the box office. The audio CD was released by Balu Mahendra and was received by director Ameer.
