20 films have been shortlisted for the Indian Panorama selection of feature films to be screened at the 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), to be held at Goa, and only one Tamil movie has made the cut! The selection panel, consisting of 9 eminent personalities from various parts of the country, selected 18 movies, with the 19th and 20th being the direct entries from the National Award winning movies! Of the 18 films selected, the only Tamil movie, is Vaagai Sooda Vaa, directed by A. Sarkunam, and starring Vimal and Iniya in lead roles! The film was well received among the audience, and it being selected as part of the Indian Panorama, is an even greater honour!
