Rumors about Hiddleston popping the big question to Ashton began doing the rounds after the actress was seen wearing a stunning ring on her left ring finger when they graced the BAFTA 2022 ceremony on Sunday night. Starring together in the stage play Betrayal, the couple walked hand-in-hand together on the BAFTA 2022 red carpet, with Hiddleston looking dashing in a black blazer and trousers, while Ashton was her gorgeous best in a flowing pink gown.
A photo is now doing the rounds on social media from the BAFTA party in which Ashton's breathtaking diamond-encrusted engagement ring is shown for the first time ever. The actress had initially managed to keep the ring hidden out of sight when she was walking with Hiddleston on the red carpet, but photographers eventually clicked pictures at the after-party. According to reports, the star couple first met when they were cast for the play, Betrayal, in 2019, and began dating during the production. Last September, the duo were seen sharing a PDA during their vacation in Spain, before they made their first red carpet appearance together at the Tony Awards in the same month.
On the work front, Tom Hiddleston, who is best known worldwide for portraying Loki in the Marvel Studios' films, will reportedly be reprising his role as the Norse god in the Disney+ series' second season, while Ashton is set to appear in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, which is slated to arrive in February 2023.
