The next film of the actor titled Spy is an high-octane action-adventure that was released on 29th June. 6 days after the release of the film, The actor shared a statement apologizing to his fans. He has stated that he has been happy to know the amount of trust that fans and movie buffs have in him and said “However, it pains me to inform you all that the movie did not have a proper multi-language release across India because of Contract/ Content delay which has led to 350 Telugu premier shows overseas cancelled."
The actor Nikhil Siddhartha said “I apologise to all the Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam Audience for this and promise that after Karthikeya 2 it will be out next upcoming 3 films that will be in theatres in all languages perfectly finished and released on time." The actor further made a promise to "every Telugu movie lover who trusted him," and said they will never compromise on the quality and will make sure a finished, checked and fantastic product is given to all. The actor also confirmed in the statement that the film gave the highest opening in his career at the Box office and thanked everyone who watched Spy in theatres.
