'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast released in theatres worldwide on Wednesday amidst huge fanfare and is the superstar's next big treat after his Master, which went on to become a sensational box office success last year, while also reviving the Tamil film industry and theatre business. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by the prestigious Sun Pictures banner with music by Anirudh Ravichander, the mass action thriller has taken a stunning opening everywhere, with tickets in theatres and cinema halls sold out for the next few days. In that light, Sun Pictures Chief Operating Officer (COO) Sembian Sivakumar issued a statement today expressing his happiness at the massive opening Beast has taken in theatres. The film has Vijay playing the role of a RAW agent and has several high-octane moments from start to end. The momentum of Beast is expected to continue for the next few days considering fans have booked tickets for the film till the weekend in light of Good Friday and Easter. The film is incidentally Sun Pictures' second production venture with Vijay after their 2018 money-spinner Sarkar, which went on to collect more than 200 crores in box office collections.
